I would recommend LICC to anyone and everyone. I personally wouldn’t use anyone else. We added a pretty large addition to our home. I found out I was pregnant right after we signed contracts. John was the first person I told after my husband. I was worried about construction still going on while trying to prepare for baby. John promised me he would finish in time and he came through. The new nursery is built and decorated with plenty of time to spare. John and Jessica took all the stress off me. Jessica does an amazing job and is so hands on with everything that all I had to do was focus on my pregnancy. John is professional, honest, trustworthy, and fair. I always felt like I was in good hands. He pays attention to details and goes above and beyond to make sure the end result is better than what you could imagine. He caught a few key errors in our architectural designs that we hadn’t noticed and it made a huge difference in the end result. For example our design had the attic door in a place that would have been a nightmare. John caught it right away among other things. I am absolutely ecstatic with how my home turned out. I had a good feeling about John the moment I met him and I’m so happy we went with our gut and chose him to do our project.

Finding a contractor is very difficult these days. John came to my rescue. I needed my condo renovated and John and his crew were professional and made renovating this apt effortless. The transformation was absolutely gorgeous . Everything was done just the way I wanted. I am truly grateful for all the work that went into making this my new home.

LICC Built Our Dream Home! It all began with the keys to our new house and a desire to modernize. When we met John, we were impressed by his sense of design and vision of possibilities. Months later, our home has us smiling in every direction, inside and out. John’s expertise ensured the success of the project. John first walked through our house and scrutinized each and every area. Second, he listened to what we wanted and our key priorities. John then set the wheels in motion. He individually designed each room and presented the proposed layout to us as a complete blueprint. We worked together to make modifications based on our goals and John’s knowledge of structural necessities. Each room was then integrated to create a cohesive design and flow throughout the home. John was our planner and counselor throughout the project, he even went with us to select the best tile to use. Jessica, his righthand administrator, made wonderful suggestions from lighting fixtures to faucets, and maintained all the paperwork and scheduling to keep the project on track. John and his team were innovative problem solvers that had natural insight and expert skills that moved them through any surprises that came up. Rich was the onsite foreman who kept a sharp eye on the day-to-day details. Rich and his righthand man, also Rich, had high standards for craftsmanship and organization on each project element. Roland and Lou could handle anything that involved turning a straight line into an artistic curve. Managing electricians, plumbers, tilers, carpenters, and painters on a complex project needed an experienced leader. John has the expertise in the field to successfully manage it all. We would surely turn to John and LICC on any future project, knowing his amazing team would turn our ideas into reality.

Had our basement finished by LICC. We couldn't be happier with how it came out. John and his team were fantastic. The work was great and the communication was awesome, John always kept us updated with all the next steps to the project. Jessica, the office manager, was also fabulous. We are definitely planning on using LICC again in the future.

I inherited my Moms house. As you can imagine, a house where an elderly couple lived required a lot of upgrades and renovations. I had three different contractors come in and give me their vision for the house as well as their quote. John has the ability to not only envision the finished house but also flawlessly execute.

He provided a very detailed overview with specific pricing and timelines. He worked with me and made changes that I wanted as the project progressed. He watched my spend (like it was his own money) and kept me level headed on the suggested upgrades that I “thought” I wanted. 

Jessica is absolutely the best. She follows up at all hours and provides specific recommendations that are helpful and needed. We had a very long delay due to COVID and town permits and she was very diligent with calling the town every week and keeping me updated every day. 

 We are doing a full renovation and John had been involved in every single step (i went back and forth about putting in a pool and he helped me make my decision and get the pool in this season - a huge accomplishment). This was due to his vendor relationships. 

I highly recommend LICC. They make your dreams a reality and you feel like you are working with a partner who is truly invested in your money and happiness versus a contractor who wants to make money and finish the job so they can move on to the next project.

Our most recent project, a complete home renovation was the 3rd project my husband and I did with John Petsco at LICC. In the past, LICC renovated our kitchen and built us a deck so when we bought our new house, there was no question what company we were  going to use. This was a major project.  They gutted the house, built an extension and remodeled both the downstairs and upstairs of our home.  They installed a new hvac system, all new floors, light fixtures, windows and cabinets, They took down walls, built a new banister for the staircase, refaced my fireplace and built a new front door..

John helped us design the home of our dreams. He is the most amazing contractor. He handled everything. He dealt with the town for our permits, took care of electric, plumbing, hvac, installation etc. John doesn't cut corners. He was hands on from the beginning until our house was complete. He showed up and made sure everything was completed  in the time frame he said it would be completed.  We trust him completely.

The craftsmanship and attention to detail was on point. John's crew was respectful, skilled and attentive. They answered any questions as they came up.. His office staff helped me pick out fixtures and colors and were always available to discuss my ideas for decorating my house. We are beyond happy in our home. LICC did an amazing job. We would recommend them without any reservations.

There aren't enough words for me to explain how satisfied i was in my selection of John and his team to remodel my bathroom and convert my garage into a home office. From day 1 what stood out about John was his calm demeanor and professionalism. Unlike other contractors who without even visiting my home were giving me estimates ( at time while on the roof of some1 else) to people who showed up but never even bothered to give an estimate, John was probably the only person who came on time + provided a detailed estimate and was methodical with his work. Even though i waited 6 months after Johns initial visit to select him but his impression was left upon me with his very first visit. Now onto Johns work, my bathroom remodel came out so beautiful that i had my sister actually copy same design. The garage conversion into office space was seamless .. no one can tell that it was a garage before and the space looks at is it was an extension of my home. I would highly recommend any1 looking to get any construction / home remodeling/ renovation to give John a call. He has been doing this for a while and even though at times i know we drove him a bit crazy during the selection process he was always calm enough to not only answer our questions but also to make sure we were satisfied. All work was completed within the time frame promised and Jessica kept up up-to date with day to day schedule and helpful reminders. His workers also follow in Johns steps, they are punctual and calm. They clean up after their work and are always able to answer any questions about the job site. This quality these days is very rare, as most people don't want to go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. John is my go to guy as well if i have any other questions or projects. I recently also had a backup generator installed and asked John for some advise and he immediately gave me some helpful pointers. John and his team gutted and remodeled our two bathrooms. They were 50 yr old bathrooms with serious issues. After our plumber said you have to fix this bathroom. It took most of the summer, but the outcome was incredible. Workmanship was incredible. John helped select colors and tiles. He was right on with every suggestion. His workers were knowledgeable and hard working. I am delighted with the outcome. I would not hesitate a minute next time I need work to call John.

John Petsco and his fabulous team at Long Island Creative Contracting (LICC) completed an almost gut renovation of the interior of our new home (3,400 SF plus 1,400 SF finished basement). The project included a completely redesigned kitchen and master bath, a more open plan living area, replacement of our main living room wall with glass including 10 foot high doors that open 16 feet wide, a brand new large deck including a glass roofed patio that can be automatically screened in, stainless cable stairs, additional and enlarged windows, new molding, baseboard and doors (interior and exterior), paneling, redesigned fireplace, custom closets, painting, floor refinishing and a WHOLE lot more. Despite the magnitude of the project, LICC finished the majority of the work in 5 months so we were able to move back in in time for Memorial Day while they worked through the summer to finish the custom outdoor work. As most people do, we interviewed several contractors before choosing John. What sold us was his creative vision and ability to instantly tackle a couple of specific problem areas that the other bidding contractors and even architects were not able to. Over time, this vision became known as "magic" because every time a challenge presented itself, John would mull it over and come back a few hours later with the perfect solution. A second selling point was his extremely detailed proposal that broke out all the costs. There were several change orders along the way but those stemmed from modifications to the initial proposal or selection of more expensive materials. As people invariably do, I spent more than I initially planned to but not due to upcharges. John was actually pretty good at keeping me in check when he felt that additional spending would not add value. Unlike many of my friends' experiences during renovations, it was a real pleasure working with John and his team. We worked on the design together and he always let me know if something wouldn't fit with the overall scheme. Similarly, he listened well and was very patient. If I wanted something different than his initial suggestion, he researched it and made it happen. His team, led by his foreman Rich Eberhardt, worked tirelessly, including many weekends and whenever there were setbacks or delays, they took it in stride. Rich's attention to detail mirrored John's and they never considered anything complete until it was perfect and I was happy with it. Given the scope of the renovation, there were various subs and they were all closely supervised by John and Rich. The backbone of the operation, Jessica Nutter, John's office manager, is a master of organisation. In addition to being able to track almost anything down, she worked very efficiently with the town and got all our permits and inspections without delay. Needless to say, I love my new home and would recommend Long Island Creative for any project wholeheartedly.

A year and a half ago my daughter bought a new home with basement apartment. It needed a new bathroom. I hired Joe Petsco of LICC because i wanted someone local. The bathroom he installed for me was actually more than 5 stars. Every step of the way was professional. My husband was in construction for 60 years and could not have done a better job. I would use this company for any new work i need. The bathroom is beautiful . I travel back and forth from Florida and he worked with me every step of the way. The price was reasonable for all the work he had to do. I will also add that this is the best shower that i have ever had. The space was small but he was able to meet all my needs and make it look like a decorators dream.

Having owned and renovated several properties over the years, I can state hands down that John Petsco is the best contractor I have ever used. I was never able to find a company that did high quality work, was reliable, on the job from start to finish, and fairly priced a job, until we meet John. He gutted renovated 3 bathrooms for us simultaneously, and was somehow able to keep our home incredibly clean and organized throughout the process. In fact, we liked John and his crew so much, we decided to use them again, this time for a major expansion involving our living room, dining room and kitchen.

John and his crew were excellent and everything you hope a contractor will be. His crew have an exceptional attention to detail.

Everyone tells me that my kitchen looks like it's from a magazine. John and his crew were prompt, neat and always respectful. There were absolutely no additional cost surprises. We had a major remodel and John made the entire project very easy for us. He listened to what wanted and made it happen. We would definitely hire LICC again.

I would highly recommend John Petsco and his team of building professionals from LI Creative Contracting. John did a basement renovation for us and created a beautiful space for our family and a work environment for a home-based clinic that I own/operate. With John and his crew you know exactly what you're getting, with no surprises. He's a clear communicator and puts EVERYTHING in the contract! He creates a timeline, clearly written invoices, and checks in throughout the job for customer satisfaction. He's also happy to revise plans and the contract as needed.

John is also a stickler for ensuring that all of his work meets or exceeds building codes. He doesn't cover up existing problems. Rather, when he sees something (plumbing or electrical issues) he fixes it so future problems do not arise.

Several of my neighbors have used John and highly recommended him. While he was not the least expensive estimate we received, he did point out that absolutely EVERYTHING was included in the contract and that there would be no surprise bills throughout or the end. This proved to be true.

As we had had some negative experiences with contractors in the past we were definitely hesitant going into this. At the beginning of our renovation John said his mission was not to be friends at the beginning, rather we would build a friendship throughout the project and be friends at the end. That was truly the case. I plan on using John and his team of professionals for future projects and would highly recommend him for any home project large or small.

I had an ice damn damaging my kitchen during the blizzard this year. John helped me with dealing with my insurance company and did a wonderful job having my kitchen looking better then ever.

Build an Addition
I talked to a bunch of different companies before I decided to go with LICC. When John came to my house the first time I felt comfortable with him right away. His pricing was right in line with most companies but I planned on using him even if it was more than the others. I had them turn a large laundry room into a bathroom and closet and the work they did is excellent. They gave me a 2-3 week time frame and finished a few days early which is another added bonus. Down the line I am going to be putting an extension on my house and I am call John at LICC to do it. No longer need to call anyone else when I already know the work they do is unbelievable!! The work is quality, the price is fair and all his workers are very respectful and nice people that make sure they leave a clean work area everyday so you don't feel like you are on a construction zone. Def check them out the next time you are looking for a contractor!!

LICC gutted my two 50 year old bathrooms into the most amazing bathrooms. Excellent work, reliable, Very happy.
